Deep Water Culture 1 Pot System

This Deep Water Culture 1 pot hydroponic system comes complete and ready for you to grow, just simply add a small hand full of clay pebbles and your plant into the mesh pot, and your water and nutrients into the main pot and plug your air pump into the mains for a supply of power for your bubbles to flow. It can also hold a maximum of 18 litres of solution, a great amount for one plant if you are planning a short trip away.

Deep Water Culture has become one of the most popular methods for hydroponics and unbelievably it is such an easy method that provides you with great results. There is very little maintenance with these types of systems and also very little for you to do, just regular checks on your PH and EC levels in your solution so adjustments can be made if required and also making sure there is enough solution remaining in the system. This 1 pot has a one-outlet air pump connected to your 50mm golf ball air stone that is placed inside the pot to deliver your bubbles into your water. The plant is supported in the mesh pot in the lid of the system to allow the roots to be suspended below into your nutrient rich solution that is constantly aerated. The water level can be filled to the bottom of the mesh pot to start and the air pump turned on, once your roots have developed well you can lower the level of your solution to allow more air to the roots. The constant supply of air into the water will allow the plant roots to survive and grow extremely fast, also producing very quick growth up top as well. A clear tube on the outside of the system allows you to view the remaining levels of solution left, and when it is low it can be easily refilled through the hole in the top lid of the system without disturbing your plant. This DWC 1 pot is also available with a propagation dome, which allows you to start from seed or cutting straight away in the system.

With DWC you can sometimes get better results by letting the amount of solution in the system get quite low before refilling it with more, to provide your roots with a lot more fresh air, just ensure your air stones are covered with your solution to eliminate any noise from them.
