Please allow me to introduce myself to you, my name is Justin and with my wife and business partner Jackie, we are Greensea Hydroponics…

We must first say many thanks to all friends and family who have pushed us for a long time to open a hydro shop, with your help and support we have achieved our dream,
                                            "THANKS TO ALL”

We are a family run business, first entering the world of hydroponics whilst visiting family in Perth, Western Australia in 1990. Once home from our visit we set up our first grow room, from then on we were hooked on indoor cultivation. I had gained good knowledge from the staff in the hydro shop, but it was very basic, I needed much more information so invested in some books. There are some excellent books available to the novice gardener, but for me this still wasn’t enough so I decided the only place left was Holland. Through friends and family in Holland I met some amazing people who were willing to share their secrets and teach me their ways for indoor cultivation. Spending time with them in Holland was a lifetime experience I will never forget, but most of all the knowledge I brought home was something else.

We have tried many methods of indoor cultivation over the years, but our favourite and most reliable way of cultivating is with Nutrient film technique (NFT), a very quick and reliable system if managed correctly and can reward the grower with some outstanding yields. Also with NFT there is the possibility of growing a large volume of plants close together commonly known as the Sea of Green method of cultivation, giving the grower a much quicker harvest as plants are normally grown for a shorter period to root in and then switched straight into flowering. We ourselves have enjoyed many years of growing the Sea of Green method hence our name Greensea.

Previous to this adventure we are taking, I worked in Ventilation and Air conditioning. As you can imagine this has enabled me to design and construct some very impressive grow rooms, which in return have rewarded the grower with some very impressive end results. I am sorry to say but I have seen many growers who are capable of producing fine plants but have no understanding on environment control, sadly this is their downfall. This is a major factor to successful crops of outstanding quality.
