NFT is a well respected method for hydroponic cultivation, it can produce some amazing results when used correctly. Grodan rockwool cubes are most common choice grow medium for NFT systems, plants are started in cubes and once a good root system is established, plants are placed on top tray. Nutrient solution is stored in bottom tank and pumped over the top tray at timed intervals, the use of spreader mat gives an even distribution of solution across the top tray, this will encourage young plants to root well into system, correx is placed on top of tray to cover roots from light. We recommend the use of an air pump in tank to produce higher levels of oxygen in solution, giving an even supply of nutrients and oxygen to the root system produces rapid growth and an excellent yield from your plants, this system has been a favourite of ours for many years.~~~1001~1052~~

Flood and drain is a very popular method for hydroponics, a simple design yet very effective. Nutrient solution is stored in bottom tank and pumped up at timed intervals flooding the top tray of system, growing medium can be placed directly into tray or if preferred pots can be placed into tray, an overflow prevents overfilling of top tray. When the pump switches off the nutrient solution will then drain back into the reservoir, this process will also draw large amounts of air into the growing medium, a good supply of nutrients and oxygen to the roots will ensure healthy growth and good yielding plants.~~~1001~2234~~
