GREENSEA GROWING SYSTEMS
GreenSea have been growing with
hydroponics for many years now and have enjoyed every moment indoors in our gardens, we also have over 10 years experience pipe fitting installing air conditioning and ventilation systems for domestic and commercial properties. All this experience has helped us to design and build various hydroponics and aeroponics growing systems over the years for fellow growers and ourselves.
We have listed below the hydroponics and aeroponics growing systems we have designed and manufacture ourselves at GreenSea. We sell all our systems online and from our shop in Suffolk, take a look below to see what we have available.
ACTIVE DEEP WATER CULTURE HYDROPONICS SYSTEMS
These are our latest hydroponics growing systems that have now become our most popular. Our
Active Deep Water Culture hydroponic systems have been designed to re-circulate all water and nutrients around the system, either constantly or at timed intervals. To prevent any root growth being drawn into the pipes that connect the grow pots together we have simply put a pot inside a pot. The outer grow pots are all connected together and run to a main header pot. The inner grow pots have a large hole at the bottom with a round air stone connected over the top, this allows all the solution to re-circulate easily and with the flow of bubbles rising in the centre of the inner pot it pushes all root growth to the edge of the pot and then downwards to the bottom of the pot, preventing any roots from entering the outer grow pots and blocking any connecting pipes. A water butt and stand are provided with these systems to allow for easy maintenance of solution and also re-filling the systems easily. The solution can be pumped from the pots of the system back into the water butt for adjustments and then simply open the tap to let in flow back into the system once corrected, and the water butt can be filled and made ready for when the system requires more solution for those big thirsty plants. One pump is provided to re-circulate the solution around the system and another pump is provided for draining the system quickly into the water butt or to waste. Propagation domes are provided with these systems and allow for seeds or cuttings to be started straight in the system, or to gently ease new plants in. These Active DWC systems are so easy to use and believe me they deliver some great results.
DEEP WATER CULTURE HYDROPONICS SYSTEMS
These
Deep Water Culture systems are our basic design, which are mainly used for growing smaller plants compared to our Active Deep Water systems. The grow pots are all connected together to a main header pot with large pipe and fittings, where all your water and nutrients can easily be poured in to fill the system and gravity will level your solution out into each grow pot. An air pump is connected to air stones placed inside each grow pot to deliver a constant flow of bubbles into your water and nutrients, keeping levels of oxygen in the solution very high. The plants are supported in mesh pots in the lids of the grow pots, allowing the roots to be suspended in the dark into the nutrient solution. Propagation domes are available for these systems and will allow you to start from seed or cutting straight in the system or to gently ease your new plants in.
AEROPONICS & DEEP WATER CULTURE SYSTEMS
These hydroponics systems combine two excellent methods for indoor plant cultivation,
aeroponics and deep water culture. The top pots of the systems are the aeroponics part and house plants in mesh pots allowing the roots to be suspended below in the dark, water and nutrients are pumped and delivered from above into the top pots through two inverted sprinklers per pot, preventing any entanglement with your sprinklers and roots. Large holes in the bottom of the top pots allow the roots to develop into the bottom pots of the systems where all water and nutrients are stored. An air stone placed inside each bottom pot helps to keep the nutrient solution agitated and more importantly highly oxygenated, this is the deep water culture part of the system. This allows roots to flourish in the bottom grow pot as well as the top. The nutrient solution is re-circulated around the system when the aeroponics feed pump is on and the air pump delivers a constant flow of oxygen into the mix. These systems are great for growing large plants.
AEROPONICS SYSTEMS
Our
aeroponics growing systems are a very simple, yet effective design and are also very easy to use. Pot stands elevate all aeroponics grow pots above the water tank, this allows excess solution to drain freely from all the pots and re-circulate back into the main tank. All the outer grow pots are connected together at the bottom with large drainpipes that lead back to the main tank. The inner grow pots have small holes at the bottom to contain root growth but allow the solution to drain freely. The plants are supported in mesh pots that are placed into the lids of the systems and a pump in the tank delivers water and nutrients through the irrigation pipes and into the pots through two inverted sprinklers per pot placed in the lids. The sprinklers spray the roots from above that are suspended below in the dark pot to prevent any entanglement with the delivery. These systems hold so much moisture inside the grow pots, you can run your feed pump at regular timed intervals rather than permanent and they are great for growing very large plants.
GREENSEA 1 POT DRIP SYSTEM
This
top feed drip system is a great little unit for growing 1 to 3 plants with hydroponics, soil or coco and can be found on our Wilma pot systems page. The top pot of the system is raised and supported by the bottom pot, this allows for all the water and nutrients to be stored in the bottom pot without touching the growing media and also the feed pump. The chosen growing media can be placed into the top pot, which has small drain holes to keep the media and roots contained but allow the solution to drain freely. In the bottom pot of the system is a pump that is connected to the drippers with pipes, the solution is pumped to the top of the system and into the growing media to feed your plants and then excess solution will drain back into the bottom pot. A clear tube on the outside of the system allows for easy viewing of water levels, and to top up you can simply pour your new solution gently into the media to drain through it and into the bottom pot to fill the system back up.
BENEFITS WITH OUR SYSTEMS
Designed by experienced growers.Manufactured in the UK by experienced pipe fitters.Parts can be replaced quickly and easily. All systems are a plug and play design. No cutting or drilling of any parts required.Quick and easy to assemble with full instructions. All GreenSea systems require very little growing media. Our aeroponics systems require far less nutrients to be used.Systems can be set up and left for long periods.
