GREENSEA EXPERIENCE
Please allow me to introduce myself to you and also my partners.
My name is Justin, owner and head grower of Greensea Hydroponics. Along
with my business partners, Jackie (wife) and Jon (brother), we are a family of
growers with years of dedication and experience in hydroponics.
We must first say many thanks to all friends and family who have pushed
us for a long time to open a hydro shop, with your help and support we have
achieved our dream.
“Thanks to all who helped us”
We first entered the world of hydroponics whilst visiting family in
Perth, Western Australia in 1990. Once home we set up our first grow room, from
then on we were hooked on hydroponics. I had gained good knowledge from the
staff in the hydro shop in Perth but also very basic, I needed much more
information so invested in some books. There are some excellent books available
for the novice grower but for me this still wasn’t enough, so I visited family
and friends in Holland to further my knowledge and experience. Spending time
with them in Holland was an experience that I will always remember, but best of
all was the knowledge I brought home, books couldn’t teach me the Dutch secrets
and ways for hydroponics.
We have tried many of the different methods for indoor cultivation over
the years, and our favourite and most reliable method was Nutrient Film
Technique. NFT is a very quick and easy method of growing that can reward you
with some outstanding yields. The sea of green method is also possible in this
type of growing system, large volumes of plants are placed in trays and flowered
small, we ourselves enjoyed this technique of cultivating plants many times,
hence our name GreenSea.
Previous to opening our shop, I worked in ventilation and air
conditioning for 9 years as an installation engineer, and before that I had 5
years experience for a refrigeration company pipe fitting. As you can imagine
this enabled me to design and build some very impressive grow rooms and grow
systems, which in return have rewarded growers with some very impressive end
results. I am sorry to say, but I have seen many growers who are capable of
producing fine plants but have no understanding on environment control, sadly
this is their downfall. The environment plays a major factor to successful crops
of outstanding quality.
One growing system I designed a couple of years back was for aeroponics,
and results were outstanding. Once we opened our shop we decided to launch the
GS Pot system for aeroponics to all UK growers. With my experience I kept the
design simple for all to use, and made all units plug and play, no drilling or
cutting required. The UK patent office gave the design a copyright certificate
and it was first launched at the UK hydro expo 2007. The response has been
amazing and also reports from growers has been excellent, quicker growth, bigger
yields, in less time, a winner all round. I have now developed new systems from
the original design and all can be assembled in minutes. GS Pot systems are now
available for Aeroponics, Aeroponics and Deep water culture, and Deep water
culture, a method and size to suit all.
We have had so many people dazed by the size and quality of our crops
over the years that we now look forward to teaching and sharing our ways with
many other fellow growers.
“I am sure we can help many of you achieve your dream of successful crops time
after time”
Be safe, be happy
Just, Jack & Jon
Greensea is dedicated to the memory of a true gardener and master
builder, whose fingers were green when born, a wonderful man who gave so much,
you will always remain in our hearts.
